Marten was founded in Sweden in 1998 by Leif Mårten Olofsson, but the story goes back further. At the beginning of the 20th century, Leif's grandfather Josef Olofsson built violins using Stradivarius as a benchmark. An instrument played by Mårten Larsson, his maternal grandfather.

In the 1970s, Leif made his first speakers in the parental home. A hobby that he was very interested in from an early age.

From the first Mingus speaker, the product range has grown to include several series, a recording studio and a record label. Founded out of passion, the company has grown steadily and has since gained success and respect among music lovers.

Marten is still a family business, run by Leif and his brothers Jörgen and Lars Olofsson.
The team works with care and attention on the west coast of Sweden. Whether it's building cabinets, assembling speakers or producing music in their recording studio, they draw on a wealth of experience.
